Saint Amand is an electronic music composer who has drawn inspiration from the popular music and films of the 80s since a young age.
As a fan of VHS films such as “The Goonies,” “Back to the Future,” “Thundercats,” and even the very first “Batman,”
he became particularly interested in synthesizers, cassette recorders, microphones, and even started creating his own music at the age of fourteen in a closet he had transformed into a home studio!
He then recorded cassettes that he distributed for free in college…
It was this passion that led him to synthwave, a musical genre that blends electronic sounds and the inherent atmosphere of that era: between old synthesizers and retrofuturism.
He wants us to close our eyes and let ourselves be taken to retro-futuristic films.
Long before the success of “Strangers Things” or the synthwave revival we know today, Saint Amand released tracks on Soundcloud as early as 2016, such as “It’s Not Easy” and “God is a DJ,” each of which has reached over 300K plays!
Encouraged, he began working on a very particular sound and releasing new singles.
